7 IDEJA KAKO UŽIVATI ZA RADNIM STOLOM

Ako ne radite neki fizički posao vjerojatno na svom radnom mjestu satima sjedite za stolom, očima usmjerenim na kompjutor ili papire. S obzirom da tako provedete gotovo pola dana, pet dana u tjednu - zašto stvari ne napraviti ugodnijima. I povećati svoje zadovoljstvo, ali i produktivnost. Isto vrijedi i za 'home office'.

1. Okružite se detaljima koje volite

Fotografija prijatelja ili obitelji koja vam odmah izmami osmijeh na lice kada je pogledate, cvijet ili neka zelena biljka, motivacijske poruke - ukrasite stol detaljima koji vam vaše radno mjesto čine ugodnijim. Biljke u uredu dokazano povećavaju produktivnost, a ugodne fotografije smanjuju stres.

 

2. Minimalizam

Netko na stolu ne voli nikakve ukrasne stvarčice jer im to ometa koncentraciju. Ako ste jedni od njih onda jednostavno sve raščistite. I zen.

 

3. Stol pored prozora

Dodatan prirodan izvor svjetlosti i mogućnost pogleda vani u daljinu dobro je za zdravlje vaših očiju. I radni prostor čini ugodnijim.

4. Glazba

Neka vam pri ruci budu slušalice. Nenametljiva i ugodna glazbena podloga pomaže pri koncentraciji i povećava produktivnost. Ali i smanjuje mogućnost da vas kolege (nenamjerno) ometaju.

 

5. Pauza

Svakih 45 minuta do maksimalno sat vremena se ustanite od stola. Istegnite leđa, vrat, ruke i prošetajte malo na svježi zrak - ovo je jako važno za zdravlje vaše kralježnice. I u konačnici - utječe bolje na vašu produktivnost. U razvijenim zemljama (i kompanijama) zaposlenicima su omogućeni stolovi kojima se može regulirati visina, tako da zaposlenik kada god to želi može raditi i dok stoji na nogama. Ne znam ima li kod nas neka tvrtka koja to omogućuje?

 

6. Boca vode

Uvijek imajte na stolu bocu od 0,5 l vode. Hidratacija je iznimno važna. S bocom na stolu sigurno ćete popiti više vode, a i češće se dignuti od stola da je napunite (ili odete na wc) što je dobro za vaša leđa.

7. Organizacija

Olakšajte si posao i odvojite vrijeme da si očistite ladice i posložite važne papire i fascikle. Uvijek imajte pri ruci spajalice, post it papire, šarene samoljepljive papiriće, fluorescentne flomastere i slično.

TIPS FOR BETTER SLEEP



 

Seven or eight hours of sleep are perfect for our health and well being. But usually people underestimate the importance of sleep. But good night`s sleep gives you more energy, you are healthier and more productive. You bring better decisions, you have more patience and you are nicer to other people.

Good sleep lower our blood pressure and elevate levels of stress hormone in our body and during the sleep our body produces extra protein molecules which build new cells and repair the damaged ones. The best time to be asleep is between 11 pm and 4 am. 

And here is one more good advice for better sleep. "Anyone who finds his or her mind racing in bed may not have taken enough time to process the day first"- Michael A. Grandner, Ph.D., instructor of psychiatry at the Behavioral Sleep Medicine program at the University of Pennsylvania told HuffPost. “A better approach would be [to] take some time in the evening to work through the day, make lists to do tomorrow and clear your mental desktop of the stuff that you still have to think about,” he says. “Then, get into bed.”

Here are some more useful and scientifically-backed tips for better sleep:

1. Drink a cup of chamomile tea before bedtime

2. Take a hot bath in which you can put a few drops of lavender oil

3. Meditate or pray

4. Eat dinner at least two hours before intended bedtime

5. Avoid sugar and alcohol

6. Set an alarm to go to bed on time

 7. If you feel comfortable, put on a pair of cozy, clean socks

8. Avoid caffeine in the late afternoon

9. Make sure your room is dark and that temperature is about 18°C

10. Electricity can suppress production of sleep hormone so switch all electronic devices off - an hour before bed!

11. Exercise every day, but not before bedtime


12. Bedroom should be only for sleep and sex. No TV, no laptop, no Smartphone.

13. Make sure you have good mattress and pillow - this is very important

14. If you like to nap in the afternoon - do it for only about 30 minutes

15. Take a deep breaths for a few rounds

16. If you really can`t sleep - get out of bed and do something else that is relaxing (read a book)

According to astronomical definition today is the first day of spring! It is also the spring equinox. During an equinox days are close to 12 hours long with day length increasing as the season progresses.

Spring is usually connected with the ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, spring cleaning, detoxification... People see it as a new, fresh start for something that they want to do: new business, new house, new way of life...

LITTLE GREEN GARDEN

Near our house there is this little garden with small chalet. Few days ago I was passing by and saw this man inside, sitting there and just enjoying... I told him that I found his garden very nice, especially now when is so rare in Zagreb to see someone gardening. Usually people don`t have time, energy or they don`t have - garden.

Mr. Marijan Kohout worked as a professor of kinesiology, and now he is a pensioner. 'I have this garden for already 12 years. I grow different vegetables and fruits and I enjoy very much here. It`s so beautiful when you are in the nature and when you can eat your own food. The taste of naturally grown vegetables and fruits is so good', he told me with the smile on his face.

Currants, lamb's lettuce, onions, rucola, walnut, peach, raspberry, strawberry, tomatoes, spices, cabbage, salad... and little, charming chalet. His grandchildren love to come there.

Mr. Marijan told me that is very important to stay connected with the nature and to take care of our bodies. 'Be active because, remember, how you treat your body when you are young, that`s how it`s going to 'work' in the old days'. So Inspirational!
