According to astronomical definition today is the first day
of spring! It is also the spring equinox. During an equinox days are close to
12 hours long with day length increasing as the season progresses.

Spring is usually connected with the ideas of rebirth,
rejuvenation, spring cleaning, detoxification... People see it as a new, fresh
start for something that they want to do: new business, new house, new way of
life...

United Nations General Assembly on 28 June 2012.)
